Position Overview:
Wabash Communications is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as part-time Video Camera Operators for live sports event coverage. This role is ideal for high school or college students, or anyone looking for flexible, part-time work with hands-on media production experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate video cameras during live broadcasts of local sporting events (e.g., basketball, football, baseball, etc.)
- Follow the direction from the production team to capture game action and key moments
- Set up and tear down camera equipment before and after events
- Maintain steady, high-quality shots throughout broadcasts
- Work evenings and weekends based on the local sports schedule
Qualifications:
- No prior professional experience required; training will be provided
- Interest in video production, broadcasting, or sports is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to event locations within the service area
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused during live events
Preferred Skills (not required):
- Basic knowledge of camera operation or media equipment
- Familiarity with local school sports programs
